Help wanted: School Resource Officer

The Wellington Police Dept. is searching for a School Resource Officer who must be a person of honor, integrity, possess strong communication skills, and be able to render sound decisions under pressure.  Your daily duties will include interaction with both students, faculty and visitors of USD 353.  Salary Range: $17-90-$27.41 DOQ

Minimum qualification includes current Law Enforcement certification, 3-4 years of experience as a certified police officer, School Resource Officer certification, and DARE certification preferred, but not required. 

Depending on qualifications, the selection process may include a written test, oral board interview, and psychological examination.  Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
