Henry Eugene ‘Gene’ Frame, 87, Wellington: Oct. 17, 1933 – Dec. 22, 2020

Henry Eugene “Gene” Frame, longtime rural Belle Plaine and Oxford area resident, died with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Wellington at the age of 87. He was born the son of Henry Edmond and Ruth Mabel (Miller) Frame on October 17, 1933 in Virgil. Following his high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and was discharged in 1958. On June 30, 1978, Gene and Ernestine (McClimans) were united in marriage in Wichita. Together they celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Gene was a retired business owner that was involved in Soil Conservation and Excavating for over 50 years. In his downtime, Gene enjoyed reading and learning with some of his favorites being Popular Mechanics and Mother Earth News. His wheels were always turning and he loved tinkering, creating and improving on anything he could get his hands on.

Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Frame of Wellington; sister, Doris Trieber and husband Kenneth of Gainesville, Missouri; brother, Lynn Frame and wife Carolyn of Tyler, Texas; sister, Marian Burns of Silver Lake; brother, Phillip Frame and wife Dodie of Pearland, Texas; son, Robert Frame and wife Charlene of Wichita; son, Timothy Frame and wife Carolyn of Liberty, Missouri; daughter, Kathleen Bolt and husband Jerry of Zephyrhills, Florida; son, Daniel Frame and wife Lisa of Wellington, grandchildren: Leah Frame, Jason Frame, Nicholas Bolt, Elisabeth Bolt, Thaddeus Bolt, Therin Frame, Airalyn Frame, Tayland French, Shayland French, Kaydland Arebalo, Myriland French and Mykiland French.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruth Frame.

Memorial services for Gene will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Church Ignited, 715 North Woodlawn, Wellington. Please adhere to the current public gathering guidelines by wearing a face mask when in attendance.
