Ira Lee Flynn of Wellington, 59, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer, at his home Thursday November 30, 2017.

Ira Flynn

Ira was born on March 14, 1958 in Tulsa, OK.  Son of Anna May Hunt and Leo Flynn.

On October 29, 1982 he married Rosa Maria Zavala in Wellington, KS.

Ira loved to go fishing, going to Goodwill stores with his wife.  He enjoyed his vast array of music from Hank Williams, George Straight, Johnny Cash, to Pink Floyd.  Ira loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Anna May Hunt and Leo Flynn.  Nephew Dallas Payne and great-nephew Jaxson McEachern.

Survivors include his wife Rosa, daughter Angela and her husband Aaron Pierce of Haysville, KS.  Son Ira Wayne Flynn of Wellington, KS and Andy Webster of Wichita, KS.  Three grandchildren Timothy Pierce, Elexis Pierce and Dominick Pierce.  One sister Mary and her husband Kevin Schaffer, Brother Chuck and his wife Debbie Flynn and brother Jesse Flynn all of Wellington, KS, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday December 16, 2017 at Prairie Lawn Cemetery
