Irene Gossman

Irene L. Gossman, of Wellington, died peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Wellington Health and Rehab in Wellington at the age of 86.

Irene was born the daughter of Ira and Hettie (Bobo) Ferguson February 23, 1935, in Cedarville, Arkansas.

On May 20, 1975, Irene and Ben Gossman were united in marriage in Hutchinson. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage. 

Irene was one of a kind spirited lady. She enjoyed the simple things in life from watching a playful animal, the smell of a flower or a beautiful sunset. Irene was well known as an amazing cook and shared her love of cooking with all of her children. She greeted everyone with her warm contagious smile. She found great happiness in sharing her love of our Grand Creator Jehovah God with everyone. Irene is resting peacefully in Jehovah’s memory waiting for the coming resurrection to paradise here on earth (John 5:28-29, Psalms 37:29).

Survivors include her husband, Ben Gossman of Wellington; her children: daughter, Pokie Etter (Wayne) of Wellington; daughter, Ty Price (Mike) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Allen Greeno of Wellington; daughter, Brandi Chinn (John) of Wellington and daughter, Sheyanne Masters (James) of Wilfey; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Justin Greeno, granddaughters: Cynthia Crawford, Alicia Howard and Savannah Parmele. 

Memorial services will be held by the family, via Zoom, Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 3:30 p.m.
