J. Nolan Muhlenbruch, 70, formerly of Wellington: Oct. 14, 1953 – Aug. 1, 2023
J. Nolan Muhlenbruch, J to his family and friends, passed away August 1, 2023, at his home in Duncan Okla.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Bud and Bryana Muhlenbruch, and his nephew Bobby Muhlenbruch. He is survived by his wife, Beth Phillippi; stepson, Leon (Rachael) and grandchildren, Heath and Helaina; his brothers, Michael (Joyce) and Jim (Katherine); his niece, Michaelane (Bill); nephews, Bryan (Laura) and Daren (Wendi), great nephews, Cody, Kyler, and Grant and great niece, Brynn.
J was born on October 14, 1953, and grew up in Argonia. He was the youngest of three boys, and his older brothers led him into much mischief until he was old enough to create his own! His niece and nephews remember him as loving, playful, always ready with a joke and sometimes a little onery! J was like a big brother to them, great at inventing adventures and making sure they knew they were deeply loved and cared for. He had a quick wit and a contagious laugh and was always ready with the best hugs! J was also a lover of dogs and in the best Muhlenbruch tradition, treated his 4-legged fur babies like precious children.
J joined his father at the Muhlenbruch Agency in 1992 and took over the business after his father’s death in 2012. He enjoyed being with people, the camaraderie he shared with farmers and providing a much-needed service. In his retirement, J kept himself entertained, working with his hands, reviving classic cars and spending time with his best friend and love of his life, Beth, and his ever-present companion, Lady. He was Jpa to the grandchildren, in whom he found endless joy and entertainment.
Everyone who was lucky enough to know J, knew that he was a friend who would
remember your birthday, the names of your parents and children, the important events in your life, and would be a friend in good times and difficult times. He will be greatly missed.
