By Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Jennifer Shaw of Wellington became $1,000 richer this past weekend as she found the 2025 Medallion.

Shaw found the Medallion at 11:30 a.m. Friday morning at Worden Park, underneath a Water Dispenser, east of the Go-Kart track.

“I thought it was going to be at Worden Park,” Shaw said. “So I’ve looked everywhere at the park the past few days.”

Shaw received the $1,000 check Friday evening with Valerie Earl, Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce, presenting the check during a brief ceremony after the parade.

“I’m going to pay some bills and buy some carnival tickets for the kids,” Shaw said when asked what she was going to do with the money.
