Jerry Blunk fundraiser to be held Friday at Sheriff’s office
Sumner Newscow report — After learning that long time Sumner County Sheriffs Deputy, Jerry Blunk, was diagnosed with a life changing health issue, the Sumner County Sheriffs Office and Sumner County E911 joined together to organize a fundraising event to try and help out.
On Friday, there will be a “Free Will Offering†chili feed at the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office.   Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m — dine in or carry out!

They are still selling tickets for a raffle as well as “Team Blunk†t-shirts. There will be two separate raffles, the first raffle is for one of two donated guns.Â
Harold Thatcher of Wellington donated a ATI Tactical 1911 45 handgun and Jon Munro of Wellington donated a Ruger LC9. Tickets for this raffle are $10. Once the guns have been drawn, the remaining tickets will be moved into raffle #2.
Raffle #2 tickets are $1 each and will be numerous drawings for donated prizes from businesses throughout the county. A few of the prizes for drawing #2  include a Digital Masterbuilt smoker, a handcrafted 7 foot wooden bench, numerous different restaurant gift cards, Scentsy warmers, Kansas Badlands passes, Bluetooth Speaker, Metal Art Sunflower, 5-11 Tactical Flashlight, cooler with grill utensil set, wood shelf, jewelry box, tool sets, and MANY MANY other items!!!  The list is growing daily!!  “Team Blunkâ€Â T-Shirts are also being sold for $15. T-shirt order deadline is March 2.
The drawing for the guns and additional prizes will take place at the end of the benefit lunch. Winners need not be present to win.
