Jessica Russell Tompkins is $200 richer after winning the Dore/Cow Bracketbuster Contest

Sumner Newscow report — Jessica Russell Tompkins was the 2022 Dore/Cow Bracketbuster winner for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Dore Owner Kip Etter presented Tompkins, with her daughter Landry, $200 in cool cash.

Tompkins won the bracket contest over 200 other entries. She said the money will help with expenses on the trip she and her husband J0rdan are planning on taking to Galveston, Texas shortly.

She and Jordan are big Kansas Jayhawk fans and celebrated the national championship victory in Lawrence on Monday night. They also walked Mass Street afterward as legions of Jayhawk fans celebrated KU’s big victory over North Carolina.

Tompkins then came home and heard the word she was $200 richer. Tyler Ybarra finished second and will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Dore. Shanyn Jones finished third and will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Dore.

The key to winning? Pick the national championship right. There has never been a winner who didn’t pick the national champion. All three of the winners, had KU winning it all.

Best of luck in 2023 when the Dore and Sumner Newscow will feature the bracket again.
