Kacie’s Kloset used clothing store opens downtown

Kacie Gosselin of Wellington opens Kacie’s Kloset at 106 N. Washington.

by Amber Schmitz, Sumner Newscow — Liking the idea of an “upscale resale” shop, Kacie Gosselin of Wellington decided to open Kacie’s Kloset at 106 N. Washington.

“When I was gaining a lot of weight from both pregnancies and had to buy all new clothes, I thought how nice it would be to have an upscale used clothing store in town,” she said.

She and her husband, Wilbur, moved to Wellington about a year and a half ago and have two children, Wyatt, 2 1/2, and Kynzlie, 1 1/2. They reside in the country and Wilbur is a farmer.

The store offers name brand, as well as discount store clothing, shoes and purses in good condition at reasonable prices.

She accepts clothing donations, as well as giving customers a cash offer or store credit. As an incentive, customers receive a bigger offer if they choose to take store credit. The next drop off date is Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and clothes can be dropped off, or customers may browse the store while waiting on her offer. She anticipates having a drop off date on the first and third Saturday of every month.

Hours for the store will be 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. They will be closed Sunday and Monday.

A grand opening and ribbon cutting was held July 13.
