KDOT to start surveying section of K-55 Highway in Sumner County
Sumner Newscow report — Starting around Tuesday, December 16, and continuing for six weeks, the Kansas Department of Transportation will have a field survey team surveying a section of K-55 Highway in Sumner County. The survey area will include the section of K-55 highway 3000 feet east and west of the K-55 bridge over the Arkansas River. The purpose of the survey is to gather information necessary to create detailed designs for future highway improvements.
Rob Selley, P.S., Field Survey Project Manager, will be in charge of this survey for KDOT. Â A member of the survey crew will contact landowners and/or tenants for permission to enter private property. Â Survey activities will include the use of survey equipment on the ground to determine locations on existing features within the survey corridor.
