Kenneth Gandy

Kenneth Eugene Gandy died on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at William Newton Hospital in Winfield at 86.

Kenneth was born the son of Elza A. Gandy and Lillie Mae Hawk on December 4, 1936 in Caldwell.

On July 16, 1971, Kenneth and Betty Evans were united in marriage in Wellington. Together, they recently celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Gandy of Wellington; daughter, Maggie Boettcher of Wellington; daughter, Carol Rathbun (Tom) of Geneseo; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Virgil Morrison; grandson, Timothy Jackson and 10 siblings.

Services for Kenneth will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2023 in the chapel of Cornejo Funeral Home in Wellington.

A memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to the American Heart Association. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
