Let’s wear red to work this Friday…
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — With a new era about to be ushered in for Crusader football, Sumner Newscow is encouraging everyone this Friday to wear red to work if you live in Wellington or even if you are working elsewhere to show our support for the Crusaders.
This was a tradition that started in the late 1990s, but has kind of lost its luster over recent years. Time to bring it back in a big way. Wear a red shirt this Friday! Bosses let your employees wear red to work!
Wellington hosts Clearwater Friday night at Sellers Park at 7 p.m.
Now if someone could just build a new football sign like the late and great Roger Stallbaumer Sr. used to put up in his front yard in downtown Wellington during game day, then we would really be set.
Go Dukes!Â
