Marian Ellen Creed

Marian Ellen Creed, of Derby, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 89.

Marian was born the daughter of Edgar and Margaret (Walker) Good on August 7, 1933, in Hobart, Oklahoma.

In 1976, Daniel Creed and Marian married in Enid, Oklahoma, and spent 41 wonderful years together before Daniel’s passing in 2017. Marian was a Godly woman who could be found reading her Bible and attending church. She was passionate about music and played the piano and organ by ear. Marion loved having her family around her all the time and was always taking care of others around her, even until the end. There wasn’t a garage sale she could not resist, continually looking for the next baby doll she would add to her massive collection. Marian was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Terri Johnson of Derby; grandchildren: Jennifer Witham (Gary) of Wellington; Johanna Weir (Josh) of Nowata, Oklahoma; Jennoa Higgins ( Fiancee Mike Owens) of Wichita; Jaron Higgins of Wichita; Lance Langley of Wichita; Logan Johnson of Derby; great-grandchildren: Peyton Witham of Lawrence; Tatum Witham of Wichita; Lexie Langley of Derby; Lakota Langley of Derby; Addilyn Weir of Nowata, Oklahoma; and Maxton Weir of Nowata, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Margaret Good; husband, Daniel Creed; daughter, Tanya Higgins; and brother, Marland Good.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 to 7 p.m, Monday, December 19, 2022, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services for Marian will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the First Assembly of God Church, Wellington. Interment will follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial with the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation.
