Martin R. Anderson, 65, Haysville: Aug. 17, 1956 – Sept. 26, 2021
Martin R. Anderson, 65, of Haysville, died on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Marty was born in Wichita, to Donald Earl and Joyce (Edwards) Anderson and moved to Wellington in 1965 where he graduated from Wellington Senior High class of 1974.
Marty enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was based in California until his honorable discharge in 1978. Marty then moved to Wichita, where he met his wife Debra where they would lovingly raise three children and make way for five grandchildren.
Marty worked primarily in the aerospace and finished his career after over 25 years with Boeing. He was a jokester and storyteller, well known for having something funny to say to almost anyone that came across his path. Marty had the ability to fix almost anything and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Debra Anderson, mother Joyce (Edwards) Anderson, children Chris Williams, Grant (Sara) Williams, Cody Anderson, 5 grandchildren and siblings, Jessica Dawn (Michael) Anderson, Davin Jay (Amy) Anderson, brother-in-law Anthony R. Goff, Roxann (Andy) Peterson, Ray Baldwin, Rosetta (Brett) Wiley, Rickey (Nancy) Baldwin and further survived by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Marty is preceded in death by his grandparents, father Donald Earl Anderson, sister Mary Catherine “Cathy” Goff, his beloved uncle Phillip Edwards, uncle Bill and aunt Merri Routon.
Memorial services for Marty will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 8th, 2021 in the Bridgeport Missionary Baptist Church, 6161 S Meridian Ave, Wichita, KS. Interment will follow later that day in Greenwood Cemetery, Wichita, KS.
Memorial has been established in his name and loving memory to the Bridgeport Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the church.
