Mary Thome

Mary Ann (Clasen) Thome, age 85, homemaker, farmwife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, with the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.  Mary Ann Schulte was born on Saturday, March 29, 1930. She was married on January 16, 1951 to Linus P. Thome at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wichita.

Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Linus; parents, Joseph and Margaret (Bugner) Clasen; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Gary Simon; brothers, Joe, James, William, and Bernard Clasen; sister, Betty Thompson; grandson, Eric Simon. Survivors: children, Gwen (Melvin) Ast of Wellington, Allen (Pat) Thome of Clearwater, Pam (Pat) Koester of Garden Plain, Vicky (Steve) Maechtlen of Pratt, Sandy (Ted) Simon of Andale, Mary Lynn (Tim) Grogan of Clearwater, Jessie (Steve) Goldsmith of Cheney, Ricky (Bonnie) Thome, of Clearwater, Lynn (Rick) Wilken of Haysville, Shelli (Doug) Ridder of Hutchinson; siblings, Lorrain Thome, Ray Clasen both of Goddard, Reynold Clasen of Maize, Patsy Harris of Wichita, Margaret Ann Ast of Goddard, Jeannie Banks of Nebraska; 44 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren.
