Maxine White, 99, Wichita: Oct. 7, 1921 – Sept. 6, 2021

Maxine White

Maxine White, age 99, of Wichita, died Monday, September 6, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.  Through the years she worked as a parts finisher for Boeing Aircraft and Cessna.

Maxine was born on October 7, 1921, in Wellington, to Edward McGaugh and Ethel (Hayden) McGaugh.  She was raised in Wellington and is a graduate of Wellington High School.  She moved to Wichita in the late 1960s.

After Maxine’s retirement, she helped care for and raise many of her nieces and nephews. She worked with Catholic Charities as a foster grandparent. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Claude, James, John, and an infant brother, Maurice; and three sisters, Lucille, Ellen, and her twin sister, Nadine.

Survivors include her sons, Marvin White and Virginia of Wellington and Gary White of Wichita; one sister, Irene West of Fontana, California; three grandchildren, Marvel White, Elizabeth White, and Edward White; 11 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Beverly Ann Johnson, deceased, Danny West, Kay Gary, Ethel Claggett, Linda Marshall, Doug Hanley, Dennis McGaugh, Connie Johnson-Roberts, and Jacqulin Nguyen.

There are no services planned at this time.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
