One-car accident north of Oxford resulted in no injuries

by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — A one-car accident occurred, north of Oxford, Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.

James Swisher-Haskins of Oxford was driving four miles north of Oxford, on 400 River Road, when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving due to gravel, according to a Sumner County Sheriff press release.

The vehicle struck a field access driveway, went airborne, rolled one time and came to rest on its wheels. There were three passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident. No one was seriously injured. One person was transported to William Newton Hospital in Winfield for a knee injury.
