Oreo is the Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week
Oreo, the dog.
Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Oreo!
Oreo was pulled from death row at a kill shelter. He was out of time there, but now he has the time he needs for that special someone to find him! He is estimated to be almost 2 years old. He is a large mixed breed weighing 50 pounds. When you come in, you might notice that Oreo can jump! But once you get him out, he is a gentle boy. He jumps gently and when you sit, he wants to sit near you or on you if you let him.
He really is a love bug! It’s easy to overlook dogs like Oreo based on their kennel behavior. But we urge you to get those dogs out and see their real personalities outside the shelter kennel. Stop in and visit Oreo, he can’t wait to give you kisses!
Come in this week to meet this special dog. The WHS is open Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before coming in to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $50 off dogs during their week!
