Oxford boys win Caldwell Border-Queen Track Meet, South Sumner girls place second
Sumner Newscow report — The Oxford boys and the Wichita Central Christian girls were winners of the Caldwell Border Queen Track meet held Tuesday.
The Wildcats won the boys division, scoring 98.5 points, beating Wichita Central Christian with an 81 and Central Burden 72. South Sumner placed sixth with 62.5 points and Argonia with 25. Full scores can be found here: BQ Track Results 25.
South Sumner girls placed second with 86 points compared to Wichita Central Christian’s 98. Argonia was a distant sixth with a 47 and Oxford was eighth with a 42.
Wellington had some athletes attend the Caldwell meet and scored 20.5 points and 13 points in the boys’ and girls’ divisions.

400 meters – Mak Blosser, South Sumner, 54.82
4×100 relay – Oxford, 45.97.
Girls
200 meters – Makhila Maupin, Oxford, 25.10.
400 meters – Maupin, 1:00.82.
Triple Jump – Kelly Theurer, South Sumner, 31-11.
Long Jump – Theurer, 15-8.
4×800 relay – South Sumner, 12:09.52.
