Paul Jacobs Sr.

Paul Richard Jacobs, Sr. of Wellington, died peacefully on July 27, 2023, at the age of 82. Paul was born the son of Richard and Lucille Jacobs on March 25, 1941, in Severy. 

Paul loved his family wholeheartedly. He was a very hard worker. He spent much of his time outdoors and could be found camping, fishing, woodworking, or tinkering around on motors. He was a devout Baptist and loved GOD with all of his being. He attended Church regularly and was often overheard sharing the good word with family, friends, and strangers alike.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lacey; son, Scott Jacobs; son, Darrell (Loretta) Jacobs; daughter, Teresa (Doug) Keck; daughter, Fon (Wes) Stangl; daughter, Marcia (Charles) Dickinson; son, Steve (Traci) Jacobs; son, David Jacobs; brother-in-law, Melvin Doane; brother Henry (Marjean) Jacobs; sister Ruth Gordon and brother, Cecil (Janett) Jacobs. Grandchildren include: Kimmy (Gene) Hagar, Tina (Earl) Bryant, Krystal (Kyle) McClung, Jolene Jacobs, Alicia Overfelt, Ryan (Holly) Brown, Michael (Logan) Brown, Kenny (Tiffany) Brown, Jennifer (Chris) Cooper, Christopher (Shaunta) Keck, Glenda Jacobs, Fawn (Clarence) Christian, Scooter (Alexandria) Dickinson, Rose (Miguel) Lujan, Cole Jacobs, Matt (Katelyn) Emerson, Paul Jacobs, Jr, and Shawna Jacobs. Paul was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucille Jacobs; son, Richard (Dickie) Jacobs; granddaughter, Jessie Jacobs; wife, Glennis Jacobs; sister, Joyce Doane; brother-in-law, Melvin Gordon; niece Mary Doane and wife, Mattie Jacobs. 

Cremation arrangements are under Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, at First Freewill Baptist Church in Wellington. 

In lieu of flowers, First Freewill Baptist Church has established a memorial to support their Food Program and Church Camp sponsorship. Memorials may be mailed to the Church or left at the Church the day of Paul’s service.
