Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Shelter Pet of the Week is Pinecone!

Meet Pinecone, an almost 4-month-old bundle of love. Born shortly before arriving at our shelter, WHS officials had the privilege of watching him grow—not just in size, but in personality too.

Pinecone is a sweet, gentle kitten who loves making friends with all the other kittens in his colony. Even at his young age, he has a caring nature and has become a wonderful role model for the younger kittens, showing them how to be playful, loving, and well-rounded companions. Now it’s Pinecone’s turn to find a family of his own. We can’t wait to see who the lucky person will be to give this special little guy the forever home he deserves.

As an extra bonus, Pinecone’s adoption comes with a gift certificate to Wellington Daylight Donut Shop, making this sweet kitten an even sweeter deal! Stop by the shelter to meet Pinecone and all of our adoptable cats and kittens. Your new best friend might be waiting for you.

The shelter is open on Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials process applications in the order they are received, so the sooner you submit your application, the better. And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off pets during their week!
