Roger Alan Lintecum, 62, Wellington: Nov. 13, 1952 – Dec. 11, 2014
Roger Alan Lintecum, of Wellington, died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his home in Wellington at the age of 62.
Roger was born the son of Murl and Lillian (Carithers) Lintecum on Thursday, November 13, 1952 in Hutchinson. He graduated from Wellington High School in the Class of 1970. Roger retired after working over 30 years as an electrician for BNSF Railroad. He began his career with Rock Island Railroad and later transferred to Santa Fe Railroad. Outside of work, Roger enjoyed many things including being outdoors to farm, go fishing, gardening or to take a camping trip. Roger also enjoyed woodworking, cooking and grilling. However, his friends and family were the most important things to him. He will be missed by many.
Survivors include his daughters: Robin Kay Davis (Nick) of Wichita, Jennifer Kay Lintecum of Wellington, Misty Kay Lintecum of Derby, mother, Lillian Lintecum of Winfield, grandson, Taylor Alan Davis, granddaughter, Pearl Annalise Lintecum, brother, Jim Lintecum of Halstead, three sisters: Sandy Price of Wichita, Teri Carroll of Lawrence and Dana Lintecum of Winfield. He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Stephen Lintecum and sister Deanna “Dee Dee” Lintecum.
In lieu of services, Roger’s family will gather and receive friends for an evening of visiting and remembering on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home & Crematory, Wellington. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
