Rosemary Williams, 85, formerly of Oxford, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m.., Friday, May 23, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Oxford. Visitation will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 9 a.m., until 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Burial is at the Oxford Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are with the Oxford Funeral Service of Oxford. Rosemary was born December 15, 1928 the daughter of Melvin and Muriel (Nice) Spence in Winfield, Kansas. She graduated from Oxford High School. Rosemary was united in marriage to Alvin “Tuffy†Williams on January 15, 1947 in Beeville, Texas. She worked at the floral shop in Winfield and as the secretary of the school in Oxford. Rosemary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oxford and active in the Choir. She volunteered at the Wm. Newton Hospital in Winfield and loved to play bridge.
Surviving to honor her memory are her children: Terry L. Williams and his wife Linda of Oxford, KS and Dee Ann Knoll and husband Jerry of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Angie Matheson and husband Matt of Broken Arrow, OK, Treva Super and husband Drew of Ft. Smith, AR, Zachary Knoll and wife Kat of Tulsa, OK great grandchildren; Harley Matheson, Taylor Matheson, Adelle Super, Londyn Super, Elijah Super, Legend Super and Liberty Super, brothers, Bill Spence and wife Bonnie of Salida, CO and Don Spence of Kechi, KS, sisters, Phyllis Rush and Marsha Delp and husband Jim of Oxford, KS.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, sister Carol Ann Knapp and brother Bud Spence and grandson Jacob Knoll.
