Sandy Weckner

Saundra (Sandy) Weckner, longtime resident of Mayfield died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Clearwater Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearwater at the age of 77.

Saundra was born the daughter of Eugene and Joyce (Kelley) Foy on Sunday, April 16, 1939 in Wellington. She attended West High School in Wichita. Sandy later began a career at Slate Creek Good Samaritan Center in Wellington and retired after 38 years.

On June 16, 1957, Saundra and Kenneth Weckner were united in marriage in Wichita. Together they celebrated 43 years of marriage before his passing in 2000.

Survivors include her brother, Stuart Foy and his wife Carol of Rock; sister, Hazel Robb and her husband Bert of Arkansas City along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by father, Eugene; mother, Joyce; step-father, Frank Webb and sister, Linda Boyer.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Parker Cemetery, Arkansas City. 

A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to the Alzheimer Association. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
