Sumner Newscow report — The SCCDAT Teens Need Teens Youth Council is busy this summer, making Sumner County a more positive place. Students walked in the Kansas Wheat Festival Parade in July and will be participating in the Sumner County Fair during the first weekend of August. The students sported brightly colored SCCDAT “TeensNeedTeens” t-shirts while handing out candy for parade goers.

The annual Back to School Pool Party will be Tuesday, August 1st at the Wellington Family Aquatic Center from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. ALL high school students from Sumner County are invited to attend and will receive free admission. There will be hot dog grilling and a fun atmosphere complete with a cannonball contest to round out the party. They hope to make this the biggest pool party thus far. Don’t miss this great time!
