Sedgwick County inmate dies of natural causes in Sumner County Jail
Sumner Newscow report — KAKE.com is reporting that an autopsy will be performed on a Sedgwick County inmate who died while being housed in Sumner County.
A release from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department said the 59-year-old man was taken to a local hospital Tuesday morning where he was pronounced dead of apparent natural causes.
The inmate’s identity has not been released. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail in June on two felony warrants.
Sedgwick County Detention Facility has booked more than 18,000 people this year. This is the second inmate to die of natural causes while in sheriff’s custody in 2013.
