In the Sunday edition, the Wichita Eagle released their all-state football selections. No Sumner County player made the top 33, but they did get mentioned on the all class teams. Here are a list of Sumner County players who made the list…

Wellington gets second place plaque in El Dorado.

Second in El Dorado

The Wellington varsity wrestling team traveled to El Dorado Saturday for an eight team dual tournament. The Crusaders finished second. Wellington went 3-1 for the day.

Wellington beat Wichita South 54-19, Rose Hill 54-13, and Topeka West 54-22. The Crusaders lost to Maize South in the championship 54-15.
