Several Sumner County basketball players named in Topeka Capital-Journal all-state list
Sumner Newscow report — The Topeka Capital Journal recently announced its all-state basketball list. Several Sumner County basketball players received honors. Cora Vineyard, a junior, from Argonia was named to the first team Class 1A Div. 2 list. She was the lone Sumner County athlete to garner a first team status in her classification.
Wellington had a good representation with four basketball players on the Class 4A list. Avery Rusk received the highest honor finishing third team in Class 4A.
