Shelby Johnson jury trial is slated to begin next Tuesday

by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Jury selection for the Shelby Johnson trial is scheduled to begin next Tuesday at the Sumner County Courthouse.

Johnson, 27, of Arkansas City (formerly of Oxford) is accused of the suspected murder of her 7-month-old daughter Jesslinn Hulett, who died with head and brain injuries on April 1, 2018, which was Easter morning.
Johnson has pled not guilty on four felony charges including murder in the first degree, murder in the second degree, child abuse, and aggravating endangering a child – all four felonies.
