by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Don’t forget the Wellington Crusader homecoming is slated for tonight. The question of the day, of course, will be: Who is the Duke of Wellington for 2014-15?

The festivities begin with, of course, the basketball games. Wellington is hosting Augusta. C team action begins at 4:15 p.m. today.

The Crusader girls basketball team will battle Augusta starting at 6 p.m. Wellington is coming off one of its most epic victories in the Eric Adams era with a 51-50 victory over Buhler. Augusta is 2-11.

In the nightcap, the Wellington boys, 7-6, will be battling Augusta, 5-8.

Afterwards will be the Duke Candidates ceremony.

Those up for Duke include:

Colin Reichenberger, Trey Coulter, Skylar Brand, Austin Pflazgraf and Brenton Troutman.

There will be a homecoming dance thereafter. Should be a great time! Check out the Sumner Newscow live feed for periodical updates of the game and festivities!
