South Haven’s Macey Pond, Caldwell’s Jackson Risley are named Big Cheese Athletes of the Week

Macey Pond, a senior for South Haven, and Jackson Risley, a sophomore for Caldwell, have been named Big Cheese Athletes of the week.
Both players were huge in their sub-state championship wins over Attica, helping lead their teams to state.
Pond had 15 points with 11 rebounds, three deflections, and three steals helping South Haven to a 44-43 buzzer-beating win over Attica.
Risley finished with 13 points against Attica in the boys’ sub-state championship game including a huge trey and free throw down the stretch to lift the Bluejays to a 45-44 win.
For their efforts, Pond and Risley are each winners of a large delicious Big Cheese Pizza at 324 N. Washington.
