Stop signs to be switched at the Botkin St, and Washington Ave. intersection

Sumner newscow report — The stop sign is currently located on westbound Botkin St. at South Washington Ave. will be relocated to southbound Washington Ave. so that the Washington Ave. traffic will be required to stop at that intersection. The Botkin St. traffic will be “free-flowing” in both directions and will not be required to stop following this change.
The Street Department will change the sign location on the morning of Friday, July 30, 2021.
Signage indicating “Stop Ahead” will be installed approximately 200 ft North of the Stop sign on Washington Ave. to give drivers advanced warning of the required stop.
