by Amber Schmitz, Sumner Newscow — On the last day of the Summer Reading Program, a Teddy Bear Picnic was held, where children were asked to bring a bear, or  favorite stuffed animal. They marched in a parade, led by Children’s Librarian Lisa Vargas, enjoyed snacks, hit a pinata, made crafts, and had their pictures taken in a teddy bear photo booth.

Children brought in their favorite stuffed toy to march in the stuffed toy parade.

Stuffed teddy bears and other toys get thrown in the air to the delight of children.

Even Aaron John Wingfield was in on the festivities.
