These are formal charges introduced into the Sumner County District Court system. The suspects listed in the complaint have not been tried by a judge or jury unless specified otherwise. All citizens are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

State of Kansas v. Nicholas Berry — Case No: 16 CR 304.
Date of birth: 1990. Address: Peck.
Date of alleged crime: Sept. 19, 2016
Charges:
Count 1 — Failure to wear seat belts, traffic infraction.
Count 2 — Possession marijuana, Class B misdemeanor.
Count 3 — Possession drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor.
Case description: Berry is accused of possessing marijuana inside a black plastic container inside his car and having a glass marijuana pipe after being discovered of not wearing a seatbelt.

State of Kansas v. Ieasha Barnett — Case No: 16 CR 305.
Date of birth: 1992. Address: Wellington.
Date of alleged crime: Sept. 10, 2016
Charges:
Count 1 — Theft, Class A misdemeanor.
Count 2 — Possession marijuana (2nd offense), Class A misdemeanor.
Case description: Barnett is accused of hiding items from Dollar General Store inside her purse and leaving the store without paying for them. After police searched the purse, Barnett allegedly had several baggies of marijuana.

State of Kansas v. John Percell — Case No: 16 CR 307.

Date of alleged crime: August 23, 2016
Charges:
Count 1 — Reckless driving, unclassified misdemeanor.
Count 2 — Criminal deprivation of motor vehicle, Class A misdemeanor.
Case description: Percell is accused of driving northbound from Wellington on U.S. 81 with a stolen 2000 Ford Ranger while driving in excess of 100 mph.

State of Kansas v. Matthew Moon — Case No: 16 CR 308.
Date of birth: 1981. Address: Wellington.
Date of alleged crime: Sept. 26, 2016
Charges:
Count 1 — Robbery, level 5 felony.
Count 2 — Domestic Battery, Class B misdemeanor.
Count 3 — Disorderly Conduct, Class C misdemeanor.
Count 4 — Criminal damage to property, Class B misdemeanor.
Case description: Moon was accused of reaching into a vehicle that a woman was driving and trying to remove the car keys. She allegedly tried to hang onto the keys but was pushed back and had the keys forcefully taken out of the ignition.
Court verdict: On Oct. 13, Counts 1-3 were dismissed. Moon pled guilty and was sentenced to six month in jail, fined $100, and court cost. He then received a one-year probation with special conditions that he would receive counseling at CSO’s discretion.

State of Kansas v. Dustin Stalder — Case No: 16 CR 309.

Date of alleged crime: Sept. 29, 2016
Charges:
Count 1 — Theft, level 9 felony.
Case description: Stalder is accused of stealing a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country Van after the owner left his keys in the vehicle at Jump Start Conoco in Wellington. He allegedly went northbound on U.S. 81 before being caught 15 minutes later just past the Wellington Municipal Airport.

Charges:
Count 1 — Fraudulent use of driver’s license, Class A misdemeanor.
Count 2 — Fraudulent use of driver’s license, Class A misdemeanor.
Case description: Allen is accused of using two fake driver’s license to attempt to gain entry into the Kansas Star Casino. He also allegedly had marijuana in a pill bottle in his pocket.

State of Kansas v. Tara Patterson — Case No: 16 CR 312.

Date of alleged crime: June 10-11, 2016
Charges:
Count 1 — Criminal damage to property, Class B misdemeanor.
Count 2 — Criminal damage to property, Class B misdemeanor.
Count 3 — Conspiracy to commit criminal damage to property, Class C misdemeanor.
Count 4 — Littering, Class C misdemeanor.
Case description: Patterson is accused of driving around town with another girl and boy, ages 17 and 16, throwing eggs at vehicles including striking a 2010 Camaro that caused $1,000 damage. A Ford Mustang also received less than $1,000 damage. She is accused of going into Wal-Mart to purchase the eggs with her two other alleged accomplices. Â

Count 1 — Battery, Class B misdemeanor.
Case description: Newman is accused of grabbing another person by the arm, shoving her and then attempting to spit in her face.

Date of alleged crime: Oct. 5, 2016
Charges:
Count 1 — Theft, Class A misdemeanor.
Count 2 — Possession drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor.
Count 3 — Possession methamphetamine, level 5 drug felony.
Case description: Altis is accused of removing an external cell phone battery from its packaging and leaving the store without paying for it. After being apprehended, Altis allegedly had methamphetamine in a loaded syringe in his pocket and residue in a spoon.

Charges:
Count 1 — Interference with law enforcement, Class A misdemeanor.
Case description: Ward is accused of falsely claiming she was someone else when she was discovered to have an active felony warrant for a parole violation in Missouri.

Case description: Wilson is accused of assisting Justin Altis of putting Wal-Mart merchandise inside a duffle bag in the store and leaving without paying for them. Both allegedly left the bag behind when they realized they were being watched. He also allegedly had methamphetamine inside a glass pipe in his pocket.

Case description: Garrett is accused of pointing a black bb gun that looked like a hand gun at three other people while in the parking lot at Michigan Apartments in Wellington. He then allegedly told the investigating police officer that he was inside his apartment the whole evening.

Case description: Christopher is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with a concentration of .08 or more. He had similar convictions in Sumner County District Court in July 10, 2009 and Jan. 17, 2014, and Dodge City Municipal Court on Oct. 11, 2007.

Date of alleged crime: Sept. 22, 2016.
Charges:
Count 1 — Driving under the influence (third offense).
Case description: McCracken is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with a concentration of .08 or more. He had similar convictions in Sumner County District Court in July 10, 2009 and Jan. 17, 2014, and Dodge City Municipal Court on Oct. 11, 2007. He had previous convictions in Wellington Municipal Court on Nov. 6, 2002 and Nov. 15, 2006.
