Sumner County Court Docket: Nov. 20, 2014 report
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The following are a list of criminal court complaints recently filed by the Sumner County Attorney’s office.
These are formal charges introduced into the Sumner County District Court system. The suspects listed in the complaint have not been tried by a judge or jury unless specified otherwise. All citizens are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Chad Drew, born in 1974, of Wichita was charged with criminal carrying of a weapon, a Class A misdemeanor.
On Nov. 9, 2014, Drew is accused of carrying brass knuckles in his jeans pocket when officers were called to investigate for pounding on windows trying to get into the residence at 1312 North A in Wellington.
Drew had a court deposition on Nov. 20, at 9 a.m.

Mark McClure, born in 1970, of Wellington, was charged with battery, a Class B misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor.
Christian McCormick, born in 1992, of Wellington, was charged with battery, a Class B misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor.
On Nov. 6, 2014, McCormick and McClure angrily fought with each other following an argument over a drink mix packet in the jail. They also engaged in brawling or fighting which alarmed the jail staff and possibly other inmates.
Both McCormick and McClure are scheduled for court depositions on Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m.

Dalton Gilmore, born in 1994, of Talala, Okla. was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Gilmore is accused on Oct. 25, 2014 of possessing a baggy of marijuana inside a pillow in the backseat of the vehicle where he was sitting and admitted to the trooper it was his marijuana.
The case is continued to Dec. 4.

Jesse Fox, born in 1993, of Coweta, Okla. was charged of possession marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor; transport of open container, a misdemeanor; and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a level 10 felony.
Fox is accused on Oct. 25, 2014 of having several bags of marijuana in his red and white cooler on the front passenger floor of the vehicle he was driving. He also allegedly had several bags containing marijuana and a metal marijuana grinder in the glove compartment of the vehicle.
He also allegedly had an open bottle of Gentleman Jack Whiskey in the glove compartment
He is also accused of possessing more than 28 grams of marijuana within the definition of a dealer and failed to have affixed the official stamps issued by the Kansas Department of Revenue show that tax is imposed by K.S.A. has been paid in full. No tax stamps were affixed to the roughly 90 grams of marijuana in Fox’s cooler in his vehicle.
His court is continued to Dec. 4, at 9 a.m.

Tina Wheeler, born in 1969, of Wellington was charged with driving while suspended, a Class B misdemeanor; failure to provide proof of insurance, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of methamphetamine of at least 3.5 grams with intent to distribute, a level 2 drug felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia for purpose of distribution, a level 5 drug felony.
Wheeler is accused on Nov. 7, 2014 of driving a 1992 Buick Roadmaster on a public road on the 900 block of East K-53 at the time when her driver’s license was suspended or revoked. She also allegedly failed to show liability insurance and unlawfully possessed at least 3.5 grams of meth in the car seat beside her and four other packets of meth hidden on her.
She also allegedly had 50 small, clear bags to facilitate and distribute of a controlled substance.
Her court deposition was set for today.
