Sumner County weather alert through Monday…

Sumner County Weather bulletin possible alertSumner Newscow report — A winter storm has blown through Sumner County. The weather service has reported at 10 p.m. tonight, Wellington has received 1.2 inches of rain.

The following warning was issued by the National Weather Service:

Strong storm system will bring hazardous winter weather to the region tonight through Monday. A mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow, with snow and ice accumulations likely. Greatest impacts generally along and west of the Flint Hills. Furthermore, heavy rain and flooding is possible Saturday through Monday for extreme southeast Kansas into the Ozarks. Still some uncertainty, so stay tuned.
