The Sumner-Cowley Electric Cooperative Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to children of members whose excellence in and out of the classroom embodies the values and spirit of the Cooperative.
“Our scholarship program is one-way Sumner-Cowley Electric Cooperative invests in our future by helping the youth in our communities achieve their academic goals,” said Sumner-Cowley’s General Manager and CEO Cletas Rains.
Scholarships totaling $13,500 were awarded to applicants from across Sumner-Cowley Electric’s service area. Since 2011, Sumner-Cowley Electric has awarded more than $80,000 in scholarships to children of its members to enrich local communities and to help foster the educational spirit.
