Sumner-Cowley Electric Cooperative has lost 55 poles, but power could be restored soon

Submitted to Sumner Newscow — The following update was provided by Sumner-Cowley Electric Cooperative this morning:

“The operations department reports that we have lost approximately 55 poles and still have 300 members without power.

We have a crew working this morning on the east — this EAST circuit just picked up around 9:05 a.m. — and West Circuit out of the South Haven Substation. When these circuits are repaired, it should pick up around 200 services.

Two crews working on the West circuit out of the Anson Substation. Once repaired, this should pick up our members West of Bluff Road.

One crew is working the Caldwell area around Metcalf. This should be restored by late afternoon.

When these areas pick up, if you notice your neighbors have power and you still do not, please call 888-326-3356 as you may have an issue that only affects your service.”
