By Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — At the center of every great offense is a great offensive line. Therefore, the Big Cheese Athletes of the Week is the Conway Springs starting offensive line.

The players consist of Layne Whitney (4), Cooper Koster (50), C0hen Newell (77), Ashton Stull (65), Bryson Lange (76) Caleb Newell (51) and Charles May (11). The group helped Conway Springs to an easy 55-22 victory over Valley Heights in the Class 1A sub-state championship at home. Offensively, the Cardinals had 349 total yards and eight rushing touchdowns.

For their efforts, each of the six linemen will receive a complimentary large, delicious Big Cheese Pizza at 324 North Washington in Wellington.
