The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Lucy.

The WHS officials would LOVE to see a Christmas miracle! Lucy is the shelter’s longest stay at just over 1,100 days! She is timid with new people but the most loving dog once she gets to know you! She is down to be the guinea pig for silly videos and costumes. She lets volunteers dress her up and is a ham for the camera! Lucy celebrated her birthday last week with WHS again in the shelter with some extra treats and love. But everyone at WHS would really love to see her receive a home for Christmas! Please help us find her the perfect home!

Stop in this week to meet this special pet. The shelter is open Wednesday through Friday, 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off cats during their week!
