The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Oreo
Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Oreo!
We believe it’s Oreo’s time! He has been with us now for 540 days! Oreo was pulled from death row at a kill shelter. He was out of time there and we’ve given him the time that he needs here. He is estimated to be around 2 and a half years old. He is a large mixed breed weighing 50 pounds. When you come in, you might notice that Oreo can jump! But once you get him out, he is a gentle boy.
He jumps gently, and when you sit, he wants to sit near you or on you if you let him. He really is a love bug! It’s easy to overlook dogs like Oreo based on their kennel behavior. But we urge you to get those dogs out and see their real personalities outside the shelter kennel. Stop in and visit Oreo, he can’t wait to give you kisses!
Come in this week to meet this special dog! The Humane Society is open Wednesday through Friday 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption please fill out the online application before you come in to speed up the adoption process. The WHS goes in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $50 off dogs during their week!
