by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The City of Wellington was without electricity for about eight minutes this morning.

The official report is a squirrel may have gotten fried in one of the city’s electrical sub-stations, subsequently knocking the whole city off of all its power.

Wellington City Manager Shane Shields said he believes everyone on the electrical system was affected but full power has now been restored.
