Vedia Roads

Vedia Jeanette Roads died on August 20, 2023, at the age of 85.

She was born the daughter of Roy and Myrtle (Logsdon) Ashcraft on May 30, 1938, in Cambridge.

Vedia and Leroy E. Roads celebrated 54 years of marriage together before his passing in December 2013.

A loving and compassionate soul, Vedia filled the lives of those around her with warmth and joy. Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell, but we are comforted by the countless wonderful memories she has left behind. As a passionate Bingo player, she brought a unique blend of competitiveness and camaraderie to every game, often becoming the highlight of the evening.

Survivors include her children: Dale Roads (Janelle) of McDavid, Florida; Larry Roads (Debbie) of Arlington, Texas; Sandra Rausch (Jerry) of Peck; grandchildren: Rory Roads, Alaine Sepulveda (Michael), Justin Roads (Jennifer), Keith Roads, Dusty Roads, Rocky Roads, Sandy Roads, Kayla Courtney (Tyler), Tracy Sherard (Max); great-grandchildren: Christian Roads, Alaeriik Roads, Miracle Roads, Gabriel Sepulveda, Logan Roads, Tessa Sherard and Noah Sherard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Kenny Roads.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2023, with the family being present from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services for Vedia will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Cornejo Funeral Home + Crematory in Wellington.

A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
