Wanda Lou Humbert, of Argonia, died on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 89.

Wanda was born in Harper on January 18, 1936, the daughter of Wayne and Nettie (Burkholder) Jacobs.

On March 16, 1952, Wanda and Harold Humbert were united in marriage and would go on to celebrate 39 wonderful years together before Harold’s passing in 1991.

Wanda was a compassionate soul best known for her great sense of humor, unyielding support, and dedication to her family. With a heart full of love and kindness, she made the world around her a bit more colorful, whether through her holiday decorating or her exquisite housekeeping skills.

Wanda was the epitome of fun, and she believed in celebrating life, making every moment count. She loved to go dancing, adding rhythm to life, and even joined a bowling league, turning a simple sport into a shared joy with her friends. Halloween was a special time for Wanda; she loved to dress up and hand out candy to the excited neighborhood kids. Wanda’s life was a living testament to the fact that joy could be found in the smallest of things, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Kandy (James) Clark of Wellington, KS; and Joy Willson of Sedgwick, KS; grandchildren: Jeff (Chris) Clark of McPherson, KS; Kelli (Corey) Kepler of Hutchinson, KS; Darrick Dyck of Wichita, KS; Kayla Dyck (Angie) of Wichita, KS; Kye (Rebecca) Humbert of Norwich, KS; great grandchildren: Dalton (Hailey) Clark of Emporia, KS; Maddie Clark of McPherson, KS; Chase Kepler of Hutchinson, KS; Levi Kepler of Hutchinson, KS; Karmen Humbert of Norwich, KS; Kyler Humbert of Norwich, KS; Kambri Humbert of Norwich, KS; Kason Humbert of Norwich, KS; Nathaniel Muci of Wichita, KS; great great grandchildren: Lilly Clark of Emporia, KS; Aven Clark of Emporia, KS; and Cooper Kepler of Hutchinson, KS.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wayne and Nettie Jacobs; husband, Harold Humbert; siblings, Jack Jacobs, Billy Jacobs, Patsy Jacobs; and son, Wendell Humbert.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the Argonia United Methodist Church, 307 N. Main St., Argonia 67004.

A funeral service will immediately follow on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1:00 pm, at the Argonia United Methodist Church, 307 N. Main St., Argonia 67004 . Interment will follow at Harper Cemetery, Harper.
