Oxford boys coach Kyle Green comments:
“Rough game for us tonight. Our decision making wasn’t as good as it could have been. Our pace of play wasn’t where we needed it to be. We looked young and inexperienced, which we are at times. We finally battled back in the 4th quarter, Hayden Ruyle hit a couple of 3’s, Colby Shepherd made a great hustle play to start one of the sequences, We got the ball inside better later in the game as well.  Ty Carter battled inside and did some nice things as well. Braydin Sadler is a heck of a scorer. He’s hard to contain.
We did a great job in the 1st half holding him to 10, then we lost him a little bit in the second half, our helpside D was not good, we left driving lanes open, and we didn’t box out. All of that together will not lead to good things happening. It was a choppy game for us, we did some good things late, but we have got to put 32 minutes together if we want to be successful. This bunch of young men are very coachable and are willing to learn and work. We will get back in the gym tomorrow and get ready for a very good and well coached CVD team on Friday. We will have to play hard and run our stuff for 32 minutes against a team that is picked to win the SCBL by most. We are now 1-1 on the season, 0-0 in the SCBL.”
