Updated: Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce 93rd annual banquet to be held Friday
Submitted to Sumner Newscow — The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the 93rd Annual Celebration on Friday, January 29 in Memorial Auditorium. This event is in celebration of the 2015 year of commerce and tourism in the Wellington Area. The chamber expects 170 people to attend this event.
For the 93rd Annual Celebration, the Chamber Board of Directors chose the theme, “It’s Your Move…To Improve Your Business.†Social will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a catered meal at 6:45 p.m. and the Annual Celebration program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Annarose White, Executive Director will serve as the evening host and emcee. The Board of Directors will be called upon for reports. Cody White, President 2015 will provide a retiring address, followed by the 2016 Board of Directors President, Kip Etter, 2016.
Members of the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB are encouraged to attend this annual gathering to learn of the 2016 Program of Activities, 2016 Budget, and to celebrate those successes of the business community. Special recognition will be provided to the Distinguished Service Award, Sumner County Young Professional of the Year, and Business of the Year. Past-President, Cody White will award a couple Presidential Promotor Awards. Susan’s Portrait & Designs will continue the tradition of taking photographs of attendees.

The meal is catered by The Dore. The festive cake will be a work of art by Muffin Top Bakery.
