Wellington Christian Academy announces that it will close at the end of the spring semester
Sumner Newscow report — Officials at the Wellington Christian Academy sent out this press release tonight:
———
“Bill Meridith, founder and President of Wellington Christian Academy, announces the school will be closing at the end of the Spring 2023 term. Spiraling inflationary costs have made it prohibitive to operate the school at the level both the students and teachers deserve.
WCA has proudly served the educational needs of children, preschool through elementary grades, in the Sumner County area for 20 years, opening its doors in the Fall of 2003. The school fostered Christian values and principles in addition to offering an exceptional learning atmosphere provided by talented and caring teachers and staff.
Mr. and Mrs. Meridith would like to express their gratitude to the teachers, staff, and community for the support shown WCA throughout the years. Mr. Meridith said he is proud of each and every student that has attended the school.
Opportunities for the WCA facility are currently being reviewed.”
