Wellington City Council to hold work session Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

logo-cityWellingtonBy Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The Wellington City Council will hold a work session to discuss electrical rates on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Public Safety Meeting room in the police and fire building.

The full agenda items are as follows: 

  1. BZA and PBC Vacancies
  2. Electric Rate Discussion
    1. Current structure with adjustments
    2. New rate structure
    3. Utility Charges to Departments
    4. Change practice of charging expenditures made for general fund directly to the utility fund. Funds should be transferred into general fund and expenditures should be made from general.
    5. Benevolence fund for payment of utilities
  3. Larry Putter (Lot 24 of Settlers Circle)

Other possible items for discussion

  • Review ordinance requiring paved parking lots. Does ordinance say “paved” or all weather?
  • Auditors Suggestion that Clerk report to Council.
  • Review demolition policy regarding bids.
  • Executive Session (Personnel matters relating to non-elected personnel).
