Wellington ends streak with Mulvane, eagerly awaits playoff seed

Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington football team did it! The Crusaders ended its long losing streak with Mulvane winning week #8 20-13. As a result, the Crusaders are 3-5 and have pulled into a tie with Augusta and Ulysses.

According to the KSHSAA site, Wellington has -1.88 points. Augusta and Ulysses both have -2.63. That would give Wellington a No. 7 seed. However, Wellington lost to Ulysses so that has not been factored in. The KSHSAA will be announcing the playoff bracket soon.
