Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Baby.

Baby is a 2-year-old gorgeous calico who truly lives up to her name! She’s affectionate, loving, and always happy to soak up attention from her people. But don’t let the sweet name fool you—Baby also has a playful side! She enjoys the occasional round of zoomies and loves batting around her favorite toys. Baby does well with other cats as long as she gets to be the boss (which she believes is her rightful position, of course).

And while there are usually not many “requirements” for humane-society feline friends… Baby absolutely insists on a window seat! Watching birds, squirrels, and the world go by is her favorite afternoon activity. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will keep you entertained and share peaceful window-watching moments with you, Baby might be your perfect match.

Stop in this week to meet this special pet. The shelter is open on Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials process applications in the order they are received, so the sooner you submit your application, the better. And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off pets during their week!
